Digital Wellbeing Council Second Meeting

Lieutenant General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister, chaired the 2nd session of the Council on Digital Wellbeing 2020 on Sunday 16th of August.
Hessa Essa Buhumaid, Minister for Community Development and Councillor, attends the meeting.
The Council discussed a number of issues related to its work to promote digital well-being in the Emirasian community, as well as projects and initiatives already under way and on the project and initiatives to achieve the Council’s objectives since its establishment by the UAE Cabinet.
The Digital Wellbeing Council aims to coordinate policies, programmes and legislation related to the digital world by developing strategies and programmes to improve digital well-being for all categories of the Community.
The Council also seeks to review existing legislation and legislation, to assess the need to update it and to carry out local studies and surveys to assess the digital situation of society. Part of its goals is to give the government advice and suggestions to continuously follow up on the new changes in the local and global digital world, and to engage with third parties or international organizations that deal with digital well-being.
