The Council

About the Council

The UAE Cabinet approved the establishment of the UAE Council for Digital Wellbeing in 2020. The Council aims to:


Develop and follow up on the implementation of policies and programmes in order to ensure the quality of digital wellbeing of citizens.


Spread digital values and ethics as well as maintaining a balance between digital and real life.


Raise digital awareness among all segments of society and encourage the purposeful use of technology.

The council will be responsible for revising legislation and laws and evaluating the need for updating them. It will also be responsible for developing initiatives and programmes to enhance the digital quality of life.
